What says Korea more than drinking coffee and hanging out with adorable animals. You might have heard about the various dog and cat cafes of Korea – but did you know that there is a Raccoon Cafe in Seoul too?
At Blind Alley Cafe you get to play with these adorable, opposable-thumbed rascals as you enjoy a delicious drink. There is no cover charge, and the drinks are at very reasonable prices.
How To Get There
To find the Blind Alley Cafe follow these directions:
- Take the Seoul Metro to Sookmyung Women’s University station (극대이군) and head out exit 10.
- At the top of the stairs, turn directly around and head in the opposite direction towards the intersection.
- Make a right turn at the intersection, and follow the sidewalk under the bridge until the next street.
- Cross the street and keep heading straight, up the hill, until you pass a subway; blind alley is just a little bit further on your right.
The raccoons are kept in a special back room, as they can be known to get up to no good. They are very well taken care of, and although they were a little shy for me, they were still awake in the middle of the afternoon – which I didn’t expect from a nocturnal animal.
If you’re looking for a refreshing drink and a chance to see cute animals, I would highly recommend checking out the Racoon Cafe in Seoul – the Blind Alley Cafe.
