Ship Realities – Our Onboard Experience Explained By Gifs
There are a lot of things about working on a cruise ship that you simply can’t understand until you get here. With that being said, here is my compilation of the highs, lows, frustrations, and quirks of working on a cruise ship. This one goes out to my crew.
Dancing with your friends at the Crew Bar
Passing passengers in the hallway after a big night out.
When the lifeboat drill lasts more than an hour.
When the watertight doors are closed, and you’re trying to find your friend’s cabin.
Every time you eat in the mess.
When you get the chance to eat in a passenger restaurant.
When you’re unexpectedly called into work in the morning.
The moment your shift ends.
When one of your VIP friends orders pizza for the party.
When you arrive at a port, but you need to tender.
When the attractive new hire (fresh meat) visits the crew bar for the first time.
When security tells you off for breaking a ridiculous rule.
“Yes sir. I won’t wear my hat in the crew bar ever again.”
